Introduction
On September 4 and 5, 2015, the Vinéa trade show opens its doors in Sierre, Switzerland, to let you discover the wealth of Swiss vineyards. Vinéa, the largest open-air fair dedicated to Swiss wines, brings together over 150 producers from all over the country, as well as a few other wines from other countries!
Take a tour of the Vinéa exhibition, and you’ll discover the richness of Swiss wine, and rediscover many other wines from elsewhere! Swiss vineyards cover an area of 150 km², or 15,000 hectares, and are spread across the western and southern parts of the country, in the cantons of Geneva, Neuchâtel, Ticino, Valais and Vaud. Switzerland is a country that has known wine for millennia: the first traces of wine bottles date back to the 2nd century BC.
Today, Switzerland boasts dozens of cantonal and local AOCs, and the essential grape varieties (which you’re sure to find at Vinéa) are chasselas, pinot noir and gamay. But the richness of Switzerland’s vineyards lies in the diversity of grape varieties present and the hard work of producers who know how to create excellent quality blends!
Wikeeps is also present in Switzerland: many private and professional customers have chosen Wikeeps to accompany them in their tastings! The Coffret Essentiel, with its argon gas system, makes serving wine by the glass a breeze, as well as preserving it for up to 20 days after opening.
Wibox
The Wikeeps Wibox is a solution for keeping your bottles of wine at the ideal temperature. This cooling system can accommodate between 2 and 4 bottles (two models are available, the Wibox 2 and Wibox 4+) and ensure that they are served at the ideal temperature.
