Enhanced Wine Preservation: The Advantage of WIKEEPS Gas Mix with Added CO2

Coravin capsules are filled in with pure Argon, a natural, neutral and inert gas.

Wikeeps®, the French patent for Wine dispensing, aeration and preservation, developed a solution using also pure Argon but adding a 20% CO2 in its formula (due to natural presence of CO2 into wine). Benefits being the wine keeps fresher then with a 100% Argon gas.

The gas is manufactured by its partner Linde, worldwide leader for oenological gas.
The added CO2 create a less astringent protection than a pure 100% Argon or a 100% Nitrogen and gives the wine a fresh touch in case of decarbonization due to the gas effect.

Our cartridges are filled in at 20,5MPa with 6,5g of nominal gas weight. Used to inert wine within the greatest chateaux, this gas mix from Wikeeps will ensure the best conservation quality for your open bottles.

Easy Transition: Adapting Coravin Capsules to WIKEEPS Standard Capsules

At this stage, check how to remove one cap from Coravin capsule to be able to screw it onto one of the standard capsules.
Once done, insert the new capsule into your Coravin system, and you’re ready to go!
