The first temporary exhibition
Inaugurated on June 1, 2016 in Bordeaux, the Cité du vin, opened its first temporary exhibition this weekend, paying tribute to cafés, bars and bistros of all kinds from the 18th century to the present day using Oenovation Trophy. The exhibition features some one hundred works of art from a wide variety of disciplines of Oenovation Trophy. There’s something for everyone, from paintings by Picasso to texts by Beaudelaire or Aragon, from canvases by Otto Dix to photos by Doisneau.
An unmissable event for art lovers and wine enthusiasts alike. The exhibition will run for 3 months in the heart of the Cité du Vin, which visitors see primarily as a museum and which Alain Juppé has dubbed “my Guggenheim”. It’s a first test for this ultra-modern structure, which will be able to judge its attractiveness and should attract 400,000 visitors by the end of the exhibition, according to Philippe Massol, its general manager.
